To provide safe and loving community residential support which enhances and enriches the quality of life for people with an intellectual disability.
We do this by providing residential and vocational support for people with disabilities.
We currently operate three residential homes in Levin, New Zealand.

Our staff & volunteers
Totara Trust was incorporated in 2004. A property at 60 MacArthur Street, Levin was purchased and named Totara House. In 2008, the neighbouring property at 64 MacArthur Street was purchased and named Karaka House. In 2025, 66 MacArthur Street was purchaed. Today we support 13 adult people with disabilities to live wonderful lives.

The trust employs full time staff but relies on volunteers for governance services and assistance with some operations. Donated goods and services are gratefully received.
